Very pleased to announce that I have been named to 11th class of Young Guns, the Art Director’s Club’s annual award for on-the-rise creatives in design, illustration and visual art. It’s an honor to be recognized alongside some of the brightest creative minds in the world, as well as a few folks who I am proud to call friends. The awards ceremony/party is Nov. 7 at ADC’s NYC headquarters:

I will be giving a lecture at my alma mater, Oregon State University, this Friday, October 25th, at noon with the wonderful Erin Mintun. We’ll be talking about the twists and turns of our career paths after graduation, and how design education opening doors to a myriad of creative careers. Come say hi!

The fine folks at Fast Company magazine have named me one of their “100 Most Creative People in Business” for 2013. A small writeup and some early sketches for the LeBron James identity can be seen over on their site, with much to come. Very honored to be considered alongside some of the most forward-thinking minds in the game.
Nike LiveStrong identity
Corresponding with the expansion of the LiveStrong line of products to a global audience, an updated brandmark for the Nike/LiveStrong Foundation partnership was needed to introduce the brand to a new range of customers. Nike worked with agency partners to develop a concept to combine the yellow Livestrong band and Nike brandmark, cementing the bond between the two entities. Logo mark refinement, visual brand standards and product branding guidelines were created by me.
